The MicroDiary Spirometer represents a new approach to data capture for use in clinical trials and therapeutic monitoring. The MicroDiary Spirometer with its proven accuracy, long term stability and reliability combined with a fully configurable electronic Diary facility is a major advance over paper Diary cards. The comprehensive PC based Windows software allows the MicroDiary to be easily configured according to your protocol and recorded data may be rapidly retrieved by direct upload to a PC, remotely via a modem or directly to a printer.
The ability of MicroDiary to acquire spirometry measurements and responses to preset questions with time and date recorded is a significant advancement in the collection of clinical trial data. Automatic transfer of this data via the MicroDiary serial port can be achieved either directly to the PC or via the modem, with a hard copy printed directly at the investigator's site.
Configuration of the MicroDiary to create a protocol is easily achieved using the comprehensive PC based software. Question responses may be obtained either numerically or by the use of the unique Visual-Analogue display. MicroDiary meets all Spirometry standards and has recently been validated in the first long-term study of spirometry in the home.
An ergonomically designed unit of distinctive appearance, featuring the proven digital volume transducer. The tactile keypad and easy to read display ensures ease of use by all subjects. The MicroDiary is activated by the subject according to the investigator's protocol, allowing any sequence of pre-determined commands to be executed at any time.
